I love to see the Temple!

This Monday, (Presidents Day) we were able to get together with my family and go on a tour of the new Draper Temple.  Kylie was so excited to be able to go inside and see what we see when we are there.  What a great once in a lifetime experience that we are so fortunate to be able to take part of.  We invited all of our family to join us and we kind of turned it in to a family birthday celebration for Kylie.  After visiting the temple we went and ate at Golden Coral and had a little birthday party.  (See other blog entry.)

Here is Zach and Kelly on the bus ride up to the temple.  Zach thought that it was really neat that he was in a moving vehicle and not strapped down in a car seat.  He sat on my lap most of the time and looked out the window.
Kylie was sitting with her cousins on the bus.  She doesn't get to spend as much time with them as she would like to so she always has fun when they can get together.

Congratulations Jesi!

My cousin Jesi ran for Miss CEU on Thursday and she won.  I wish that I could have been there to see her.  My mom told me that she did a great job!
Way to go Jesi!

Sleepy Boy

Zachary was so tired that he started to fall asleep during dinner.  He has been sleeping very poorly the last 3 nights and any sleep that he can get is much needed.  His poor little eye on the left side is red and swollen and we are wondering if he has an ear ache.  So after school today we are going to go and get him checked out.

This picture was taken right after he started to fall asleep but he saw that I had the camera in my hand so he perked up a little.

He didn't want to miss a bite and kept eating until I turned the water on to get a wash cloth.  After cleaning him up he fell asleep as I walked toward his bedroom.  Too bad that the nap only lasted for 25 minutes though and he woke up screaming and crying.  Poor kid! I hope we figure out what the problem is so that we can all get a good nights sleep.

9 Months Old

Zachary turned 9 months old yesterday.  Boy have things changed around our house in the last month.  From learning to crawl to wanting to walk all around the furniture.  It is quite the task to keep up with our little guy.

9 month stats:
21.2 lbs.
30 1/4 inches

Zach's latest (tonight).  Kylie went to get in the shower so she could get ready for bed, but she forgot to shut the door all the way.  So Zach pushes the door open.  Kylie thinks it's me coming in, and says mom what do you want?  When I don't answer she just goes on doing what she is doing but all of a sudden this little face appears in the glass of the shower, cause Zach wants to see what Kylie is doing.  It scared her, but it was also funny.
Zach has also started sitting at the top of the stairs where the gate has been placed(yeah we finally found one that we liked) and he shakes the gate, like he is saying let me down there.

More Basketball

Kylie had her second game yesterday.  I guess that you could say she was got a little more into it.  We encouraged her to go after the ball, and to our surprise she did.  Although, after going after the ball and getting hit in the face with another kids head she had to come out and cry a little bit, but  she got right back in there and kept playing.  She even got a carpet burn from getting down on the floor to go after the ball.

Sleeping Trouble

Lately we have been having trouble sleeping at our house.  It seems that Zachary has decided that the crib is not the place that he wants to be sleeping.  Here is a couple of pictures of our little night owl on one such night.  I laid him in bed by me and this was the position that he soon found to sleep in.  I couldn't resist taking a picture.

He looks so cute with his little bum sticking up in the air.
I love these pj's.

Kids

Here is a couple of pictures of the kids just having fun together.

Zach has decided that when I get out the camera, he is now going to start smiling a little bit.  I think the real reason for the smile is he sees that I have something different and he wants to play with it,
Here Zach is crawling to me to try to get the camera.
As you can see from this picture, Zach has not only started crawling (I tried to down load a video but it wouldn't go through.) but he is pulling himself up on the furniture as well.  Last night he braved the gap from the couch to the recliner and made it.

Jr. Jazz

Kylie started playing Jr. Jazz this last Saturday.  One thing that surprised me was that at this age they combine the boys and the girls.  I don't know what they worked on during their practice they had, but all of her team looked lost, except for two of the boys.  I don't think that they realized that they would have to run up and down the floor, and that someone would be trying to guard them.  Let's just say that we are going to start taking Kylie to the High School Games so that she has some idea what to do.  She does shoot the ball pretty well, but didn't know much about the rest of it.
She says that she had fun and can't wait to do it again next week.
Check out the number on her shirt.  Does it look familiar????  I promise I didn't pick it out.  They just gave it to her.

Zachary did a good job of cheering her on.  What he really wanted to do was get down and crawl and follow her around on the floor.

Funny Faces

After Christmas we were trying to get Zach to look at the camera.    Instead of smiling this was the funny look that we got.

Our Singing Man

Zachary has become quite the little singer.  It doesn't matter what he has in his hands, he will twist it and then do what sounds like singing.

Merry Christmas 2008!

This year we were able to have my mom and dad come up and share Christmas with us in Coalville.  It was fun to have them, and we always wish that they could stay with us longer.  But I guess we have to share them with everyone else too.  Here is a picture of everyone on Christmas Day.
This picture was actually taken on Christmas Eve.  Kylie pulled some really wierd face for the camera, so I just had to share it with everyone.
Kylie and Zachary after they opened their new pj's on Christmas Eve.
Zachary and one of his many new toys.  He has finally figured out how it works, I have more fun pics that I will add later of this one including a video if I can.
Grandma Parsons and Zachary.
Grandpa Parsons and Dad (Kelly) opening presents on Christmas Morning.
Me, Kylie and Zachary checking our Kylie's collection.
Kylie did this funny little dance when she saw that she got Camp Rock Barbie Dolls for Christmas.

Kylie's School Christmas Program

I am going to try to catch up on a few blogs all at once here, so bear with me for those of you who our following our family.
This year our school did a program called Around the World at Christmas Time.    Each grade level was assigned a different country to sing about.
Here is Kylie dressed as Santa Lucia.  I can't remember the country, but the oldest daughter in the family is in charge of delivering breakfast to all the other members of the family and she wears something similar to what the girls are wearing in this picture.
Here they got to play the kazoo during the song of All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth.
There were a lot of kids for the final performance.  This picture does not begin to show all of the kids on the stage.  Can you see Kylie?

Family Christmas Party

This past weekend we got together for the Brian Christmas Party at Scott and Jodi's in Aurora.  We had fun being able to just sit and visit with each other, enjoy a good meal, and play games with presents.  Santa surprised the kids with a visit and a little treat.
Zachary was not impressed with Santa. He looks like he is saying help!  He did pretty good though.  Kylie screamed like crazy when she was this age.
Rylee did not want to sit on Santa's lap, and little bit of time that she was there we could not get a picture of her.  So here is one of her just standing there looking cute.
Nathan made sure to tell Santa that he was being a good boy this year!
Kylie drew a blank when she sat on his lap.  She forgot what she was going to ask for.  When he left she asked us if she was going to see him again cause she remembered what she was going to ask for.
Kinsey didn't want to be on Santa's lap either.  She also wasn't feeling too well either.
JJ was told by Santa that he had been talking to JJ's teacher.  Oops!
Grandma Brian was pretty lucky. Santa brought her Celine Dion tickets for Christmas.
Allie just sat and stared at him.
The group of kids.  Kinsey and Rylee did not want to be in this picture too much either.

Ovard Family Pictures

On Saturday we went to Kiddie Kandids to get some family pictures taken.  For what didn't seem like a very busy place on a Saturday before Christmas it sure did take us a while to get in to take pics.  By the time we were ready, (or should I say they were ready) Zachary did not want to have anything to do with sitting down and taking a picture. That we actually got a picture of him not screaming is amazing.
This is the last shot that we took.  Another lady came in at the very end and she was able to help cheer Zach up for this cute smile.  It's funny but it probably ended up being the most uncomfortable picture to pose for, but it turned out cute.

I just love this one of Kylie.  I can not believe how big she is getting.
You got to love that open mouth smile.
Look at the size of those feet!  Can you believe at 7 months he is wearing a size 4?
We also discovered yesterday that tooth #4 is almost all the way in.
This was the first shot they took.  Zachary kept scooting around on his bottom to turn around to look at Kylie.

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with all of the Parsons clan.  We all met in Green River on Wednesday for the big day.  On Friday all of the girls took off to Grand Junction to try to get some shopping done for Christmas.  Thankfully we did not leave until shortly after 7:00.  The last time we went it was more like 3:30 in the morning.  Saturday we went out along the river to have family pictures taken.    It took us a couple of tries but between everyones camera I think that we got some good shots.
Here of course is the whole Parsons clan.
Our little Ovard family.
Check out my SIL's blogs for more photo's of the weekend.  I was getting to impatient for all the pictures to download.
