Merry Christmas 2008!

This year we were able to have my mom and dad come up and share Christmas with us in Coalville.  It was fun to have them, and we always wish that they could stay with us longer.  But I guess we have to share them with everyone else too.  Here is a picture of everyone on Christmas Day.
This picture was actually taken on Christmas Eve.  Kylie pulled some really wierd face for the camera, so I just had to share it with everyone.
Kylie and Zachary after they opened their new pj's on Christmas Eve.
Zachary and one of his many new toys.  He has finally figured out how it works, I have more fun pics that I will add later of this one including a video if I can.

Kylie did this funny little dance when she saw that she got Camp Rock Barbie Dolls for Christmas.

Kylie's School Christmas Program

I am going to try to catch up on a few blogs all at once here, so bear with me for those of you who our following our family.
This year our school did a program called Around the World at Christmas Time.    Each grade level was assigned a different country to sing about.
Here is Kylie dressed as Santa Lucia.  I can't remember the country, but the oldest daughter in the family is in charge of delivering breakfast to all the other members of the family and she wears something similar to what the girls are wearing in this picture.
Here they got to play the kazoo during the song of All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth.
There were a lot of kids for the final performance.  This picture does not begin to show all of the kids on the stage.  Can you see Kylie?

Family Christmas Party

This past weekend we got together for the Brian Christmas Party at Scott and Jodi's in Aurora.  We had fun being able to just sit and visit with each other, enjoy a good meal, and play games with presents.  Santa surprised the kids with a visit and a little treat.
Zachary was not impressed with Santa. He looks like he is saying help!  He did pretty good though.  Kylie screamed like crazy when she was this age.
Rylee did not want to sit on Santa's lap, and little bit of time that she was there we could not get a picture of her.  So here is one of her just standing there looking cute.
Nathan made sure to tell Santa that he was being a good boy this year!
Kylie drew a blank when she sat on his lap.  She forgot what she was going to ask for.  When he left she asked us if she was going to see him again cause she remembered what she was going to ask for.
Kinsey didn't want to be on Santa's lap either.  She also wasn't feeling too well either.
JJ was told by Santa that he had been talking to JJ's teacher.  Oops!
Grandma Brian was pretty lucky. Santa brought her Celine Dion tickets for Christmas.
Allie just sat and stared at him.
The group of kids.  Kinsey and Rylee did not want to be in this picture too much either.

Ovard Family Pictures

On Saturday we went to Kiddie Kandids to get some family pictures taken.  For what didn't seem like a very busy place on a Saturday before Christmas it sure did take us a while to get in to take pics.  By the time we were ready, (or should I say they were ready) Zachary did not want to have anything to do with sitting down and taking a picture. That we actually got a picture of him not screaming is amazing.
This is the last shot that we took.  Another lady came in at the very end and she was able to help cheer Zach up for this cute smile.  It's funny but it probably ended up being the most uncomfortable picture to pose for, but it turned out cute.

I just love this one of Kylie.  I can not believe how big she is getting.
You got to love that open mouth smile.
Look at the size of those feet!  Can you believe at 7 months he is wearing a size 4?
We also discovered yesterday that tooth #4 is almost all the way in.
This was the first shot they took.  Zachary kept scooting around on his bottom to turn around to look at Kylie.

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with all of the Parsons clan.  We all met in Green River on Wednesday for the big day.  On Friday all of the girls took off to Grand Junction to try to get some shopping done for Christmas.  Thankfully we did not leave until shortly after 7:00.  The last time we went it was more like 3:30 in the morning.  Saturday we went out along the river to have family pictures taken.    It took us a couple of tries but between everyones camera I think that we got some good shots.
Here of course is the whole Parsons clan.
Our little Ovard family.
Check out my SIL's blogs for more photo's of the weekend.  I was getting to impatient for all the pictures to download.

7 months old!

Zachary turned 7 months old yesterday.  I can not believe how big he is getting.  I had to graduate him to the 12 month pj's because he is getting so long.  Well here is all the info. we got from our visit to get shots.  I will have to post pictures later.
Height: 29 1/4 inches --- 95%
Weight 18.8 lbs --- 50%

Zach is finally getting  to where he is trying to roll a little bit.  When he gets ready to go back to his back his poor little elbow just gets in his way.   Last night he made it half way across the floor scooting on his back.  It was funny to watch.  One minute he was right in front of us and the next he was under the swing trying to grab the seat.  His head had a nice little red mark where he had been rubbing against the carpet.  I think we might just need that gate for the stairs sooner than we thought we would.

Love My Toes!

I just love my toes!

Dancing Boy!

Zach has become quite the little dancer.  If there is music on he starts to move to the beat.  I got  a cute little video clip of him dancing but it won't down load.  So I will just have to try to email it to everyone or he can show you in person what he does during Thanksgiving.
He is getting pretty good and balancing against things too!

Zachary Love His Jump Up

We tried putting Zach in the jump up the other night and he just loves it.  He sits there and bounces and bounces and bounces.  One night he stayed in it for 45 minutes.  And he only came out of it because he had pooped and I didn't want it going all over the place.  But, I was too late.  It was a big mess to clean up anyway.

Halloween

Happy Late Halloween everyone!  We had a fun Halloween this year!  Kylie loved running from house to house getting as much candy as she could possibly get. He cousins Drew and Trista had a hard time keeping up with her she was moving so fast.
Here is a picture of Kylie in our parade that we had at school.  This was as she went through my room in the train that went around to collect all of the classes before we could go outside.
She is such the cute little poser.  She had fun with her costume.  Thanks Aunt Mandy for making it for her.  Before Mandy gave this to her we had planned on being a witch.  I personally appreciate the fact that Kylie decided to be a fairy/ballerina because then I didn't have to go out and buy a witch costume.
Zach made a cute pumpkin this year.  Can you believe that at six months he is wearing a costume that said it was a 12-18 month?  I thought for sure that it would just drown him.
As you can also see he is starting to sit up a little bit.  He still won't roll yet though.  For some reason he just doesn't want to.
This picture makes it look like he was not too excited about getting a kiss from his sister.  But, he really loves it.  He loves getting tons of attention from Kylie.  When we come home from school everyday he gets such a big smile on his face and kind of bounces up and down a little.

Grandma and Grandpa Visiting

Mom and dad brought us all of the wonderful pumpkins for Halloween.  Kylie was so excited when she saw them all.
I still need to take a picture of Zach with the pumkins.  I guess that will come later.
This is a picture of the kids right before we left on our little shopping excursion.  Zach was such a trooper and was good the whole time.  He only got cranky when it was time for a nap.  Which he took and then we were set to go again.  Kylie was pretty good the whole day too, she just pretty much crashed on the way home thinking that she was going to be sick.  I think she was just tired from all of the moving around that we had done that  day.  Needless to say she went to bed really early that night.

First Snow!

We took Zach outside when we had our first snow fall, just so we could get that first picture.  As the snow fell on him he kept closing his eyes.  Kylie thought it was great.  She is becoming quite the sister, always wanting to carry him around the house, and getting tired really quick because of how big he is getting.  The latest is that she wants to play house with him, and have him be her baby.

My Camo Outfit!

It's Been Awhile!

I know that it has been awhile since I have posted a blog so I am going to try and add a few today.  Here are a couple of pictures of Zachary sitting in his Bumbo chair.  This is a cute little outfit that we got in Monroe when we went to Amberlee's baby shower.  Don't you just love the cute little visor?  It kind of looks like a golfers hat.  He is getting bigger and more active by the day.  If you put him on his back it is not too long before he is trying to get to his tummy.   But once there he gets stuck.  So we are not rolling all over the place yet, but I am sure that we are getting close.

Laughing

On our way home from Green River, we bought Zach one of the new Bumbo chairs. This is a couple of pictures of him sitting in it for the first time, while laughing at Kylie. For some reason Kylie is the one that he will laugh at the most. Today, (Sunday) she had him laughing quite a bit, and he has just the cutest little laugh.

Meeting Alex

We stopped and took Alex out to dinner for his birthday on the way home from Green River.  It had almost been two years since we had last seen him.  Kylie was excited to see him, but then really shy once she got around him.  This was Zachary's first time of meeting Alex.

More Melon Days

We were finally able to get a picture of all 6 grandkids together.  I was pretty lucky I almost had all of them looking at me for the first picture that I took.  From L to R:  Zachary, Kylie, Kinsey, Nathan, Allie, and Rylee.

Uncle Greg gave Zachary a pirates baseball hat.
Zachary and Allie
Zachary and Grandpa Brian were buddies during Melon Days.

This year was my 15 year class reunion. (I couldn't believe it had been that many years.)  8 of the 15 of us made it.  We had a little barbeque get together and just sat around and visited.  It was great to be able to catch up with those who were there.
