Halloween Parade 2009

Here is Miss Hannah Montana (Kylie) as she is getting ready to parade through my classroom at school.

Another one of Hannah!
Here Zach is with his sitter Tammy watching the parade.
I was wearing a witch hat, so the funny look on his face is because I kept saying hi to him and he must of been thinking something like, "Who is THat?"
Miss Kylie on the parade route walking with one of her really good friends Jaide.

Spooky Reading Night

Last night I took the kids to the PTA Spooky Reading Night.
The reader was dressed up as one of the characters from Star Wars and she read some fun stories for the kids and had some great voices to go with it.
You can see Kylie in the bottom right corner of the picture in her bright blue wig.
Now the wig is starting to fall off.  It was actually a wig for an adult, but she wanted to wear it.
Zachary of course was more interested in finding a ball and trying to shoot it in the basketball hoop.  Luckily I stopped him in time as right under the basket was a table full of doughnuts and cups of applejuice.

Here the reader was trying to get the kids to dance to a halloween song.  Kylie didn't look too thrilled at this part.
Each of the kids at the story night was given a sword so they could fight off evil aliens. They made a vow that they could not hit their mothers, but that they could hit anyone else that they wanted.  Zach did not want to stand in front of the star wars characters.

Just Goofin!~

Here is a couple of pics from a while back.  The kids were just having fun with the camera.
Zach kept giving funny faces so we were trying to catch them.

Kylie's super cheese smile.
Playing with the light up pumpkin.
Cheese!
Oh what cuties I have!

18 months old

I can not believe that my little guy is 18 months old.
What a ride it has been.
And, YEA!  He is finally trying to start saying some words.  We can not understand everything that he says, but at least he is trying.

A much needed update!

I can not believe how long it has been since I last posted something on the blog.  What a total slacker I am.  I found these pictures of Kylie on the camera and decided I had better share.
This was the night that she danced at the North Summit Football game.  We thought we had missed it when we went to Brock and Blayr's reception, and she was so excited when she found out that she didn't miss it after all.
We had Zach all bundled up for the big night.  It actually started snowing while the girls were out dancing.
They all took their coats off just before they went out on the field, but you will notice that Kylie left her styling, and matching gloves on so that her hands would stay warm.

She really had a lot of fun and I am glad that she didn't have to miss the opportunity again this year.  Good Job Kylie, you were GREAT!

Baby Stuff for Sale!

If you are in need of some great hand made baby items, you need to check out my sister in-law Heathers blog.  She is selling some really cute baby things that she has made, and her prices are really great.  The pictures below are just a small sample of some of the things she has.
Way to go Heather!  You had a lot of really cute things for Melon Days this year. Too bad my baby isn't so much a baby anymore, but a toddler.  I still need to have you do a tie for me though.  That was just cute, and I forget to try it on Zach while we were there.

Melon Days 2009

This past weekend was the annual Melon Days Celebration in Green River, UT.
We go every year to visit with family and friends, as well as help my mom, who is over the park part of the day.
I am posting a lot of pictures so that I can get a little of the whole family.  The only one missing from the pictures is Kelly and Jaden.  Both of them never seemed to be around when the pictures were being taken.
Here Zach and Kylie are waiting for the parade to start.  Sitting in the stroller did not last as long as I would have hoped it would.
Here you can see a few more of the cousins as they are waiting for some candy to be thrown their way.

More parade watchers, Jodi, JJ, Heather, Kinsey, and Vance(Ryan's friend)

More of the parade.  Kalen, Greg, and Ryan my brothers in the background.

Mandy and Kinsey
Kylie and Allie
Allie just loves her cousin Kylie.  She was always looking to see where she was going to go next, and making sure that she was part of it.  Kylie loves every minute that she gets to spend visiting and playing with Allie.  I wish she enjoyed playing with her her brother that much.
Grandma and Grandpa Brian relaxing in the shade of the booth.
Grandpa Parsons doin some relaxin too!

Tristen finding a shady spot.
Here I am taking one of my turns at making cotton candy.
My little man Zach.
Zach loved Grandma's golf cart that she drives around.  This was practically a baby sitter for me.  He loved pretended to drive.  Here he is taking the little girls for a ride.

Now all of the kids are in for a ride.

Here Grandma P has a car full.  The only one missing the ride is Zach.  He went home to have a nap.
It was not the easiest picture to get, but Mandy got one snapped before all the kids started moving again.  Mine was the worst!
Just a fun shot!

Kinsey and Rylee

Another picture of him driving.  The smile says look at me mom!

New Beds!

Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, started a busy day, or couple of days anyway for our family.  Saturday, we went to Salt Lake (IKEA) to purchase a new bed for Kylie so that Zach could have her old one.  When we got home that night we got all of Zach's things moved so that he could try his first night in the big bed.
Here is a pic of the bed.  We found him some cute sports themed sheets so now we just have to find a cover.  I wasn't in the mood to buy the one that matched the sheets.  I figured I could enlist the help of my mom and we could tie one sometime.
He didn't really care too much that it was now his bed.  I don't think he really understood it.   But as soon as he saw his animals up there on the shelf, he climbed right up and started throwing them back off.  Like these don't go here.
Then he was done so he climbed back off and went to play again.
The first night went ok, I had to go in a comfort the crier a little bit, but I was able to lay by him for a  second and he went right back to sleep.
The second night wasn't as good.  I don't think he was feeling too well, so after much crying and screaming we both finally got some sleep sometime around 4 a.m.  And of course the sleep was in my bed and not his own.
So here is the box that Kylie's bed came in, and the mattress that was all rolled up and smashed to look like a giant sleeping bag.
Here is Kylie excited to get her picture taken with her new bed.
And of course the final product.  She likes that she has this little space underneath to play in.  He dolls are under there too, you just can't see them in this shot.  I hope this will help to keep things a little less cluttered in her room.
So the bed is kind of like a bunk bed without the bed on the bottom.
She had her first night of sleeping in it and she said she loved it.
