Kylie and Zach made a little obstacle course out of the cushions on the couch.

Playing in the water!

On the 4th of July the kids had fun playing in the water at Grandpa and Grandma Ovard's house.

Zach wasn't too sure about the water at first.

He especially didn't want to sit in the little pool at the end of the slide.

But he would swat at the water.

He has such a cute smile.

Here is a little video of Zach swatting at the water.

I found the basketball hoop!

In one of the trips on the four wheeler around grandpa's house Zach found the backetball hoop. So all he wanted to do after that was walk around to the front of the house and shoot the ball.

Here is the first big throw. It didn't go very far but he has the right idea.

4th of July

Here are a couple of pictures from the parade in Henefer on the 4th of July.

Zach did not last very long in the stroller. He wanted to be out where the other kids were.

Picking up his first piece of parade candy. The funny thing was is that he just kept throwing it back on the ground so that he could pick it up again.

My little girl is growing up. This year while we were doing cheer camp, I was able to drop her off where she needed to be, and then go back home for a little while. She didn't need me to be in sight. I would come back about 10 minutes before the camp was over, and she would have a big smile on her face telling me how much fun she had that day and what she learned.

She remembered things better this year.

Zach just sat back and relaxed watching the girls dance.

Each age group did a cheer and a dance. Then they got together with all of the age groups and did one big dance.

She had a lot of fun and can not wait until she can dance at the football game this coming September.

Getting Creative

When we moved Kylie downstairs (I know this was like 7 months ago) there was still some girly things that were left in Zach's room. There was nowhere for it to go in Kylie's new room and the holes were already in the wall so I decided to just leave it there.

So I started with this flower shelf. I took the flowers off, sanded it down and then started to paint.

This is what it looked like after it was painted. I think I changed my mind many times on the colors but finally ended up with Navy and White.

The final product looks like this. I had these little basketballs that I had painted awhile ago, I just hadn't done anything with them yet. This added something that was missing and it also goes with the theme of the room. I am going to leave it like this for awhile, but I might add some scrap book paper to the sides and modge podge it on. I haven't quite decided if I want to do that or not.

Here is the name sign that Grandpa and Grandma Parsons gave to Zach for his birthday. I finally got it up on the wall, and wanted to show off how great it looked.

This is the other item that is on one of the walls. I think we were so lucky when we found it. I just wish I could have gotten some of the other sports players too.

If you couldn't tell we went with the basketball theme. And it's actually quite funny because he loves basketball. Who would have thought that a Parsons would love basketball! But, everytime he sees either a basketball hoop or ball he is pointing and grunting at it.

Kylie's Art from School

I was finally going through Kylie's stack of papers that she brought home at the end of school. I came across these two pictures that she did around President's Day. She did such an awesome job on them I wanted to share them with everyone else. (Also taking a picture of them is a lot easier to store than keeping all of the art projects.) So this is my new goal. To take pictures of everything that Kylie does at school, so she can remember it later on.

Another Storm

While we were having dinner in Henefer this big black cloud decided to make an appearance.

When the storm was over, out came the beautiful rainbow.

And then the gorgeous sunset.

Zachary loved following cocoa around.

He even took his cookie and shared it with her.

After letting Cocoa have a bite then Zach would also have one just to make sure he got his fare share of the cookie too.

It has been quite awhile since all of the grandkids were together at the Ovard's to take a picture. (We were still missing Alex) So with Derek getting ready to go on his mission we decided to get the kids all together in a picture.

It was actually quite amazing that they were all actually looking at the camera.

Out on a Walk

You have to watch this little guy close if you let him outside. He just takes off and goes. No longer the clingy whiney thing like he has been lately at home.

Miss Utah

Kylie and I had the opportunity to go and watch Jesi in the Miss Utah pageant, with my mom, grandma Brian, and Heather. I am glad that we were able to go and support her. She did a great job on her talent that night. Here are a couple of pictures that Kylie took with her.
