Idaho Trip

I hope that you are ready for a really big post.

We went to Idaho with my Mom and Dad, and for a short trip we actually covered quite a bit of ground.  The funny thing is that we went to help bring the new truck back, and that is the one thing that I did not get a picture of.  I guess I will have to get one later.

Here Kylie and Zach are gearing up for the big trip.  Little did they know that they were going to be in the car for awhile.  I sat in the back seat with them for part of the way.

The front seat was a little more crowded.  Kelly and my Dad did all of the driving on the way up and my mom and I took turns sitting in the front.   Of course after picking up the truck we had plenty of room to spread out.  Too bad Zach was having a rough ride cause I ended up sitting in the back next to him most of the time.

This was the first time that we all got to see the new temple that had been dedicated in Twin Falls.

This is the picture of the make shift bed that we made up for Zach.  We vetoed taking the port-a-crib because he just doesn't sleep in it that well.  We usually ended up putting him in bed with us.  We decided if this didn't work we would just make a bed on the floor.

He did wake up a few times, but he stayed in the bed all night.  Well almost!  There was the little incident where we had stuffed a pillow into a hole and he ended up falling with the pillow through the hole and landed underneath the table that it was next to.  It was quite funny, he didn't get hurt thankfully and he went right back to sleep.

Kylie was really jealous, she wanted to sleep in the bed.  But it just wasn't long enough for her.

They said that this is the most water to come over the falls in many years.

This was pretty neat to see the rainbow going over the falls.

There was a lot of mist in the air, and if the wind was blowing the right direction, then you got hit with a little mist of water.  This did happen part of the time we were here.

Zach loved every minute that he could find to just get out and explore the new surroundings.

There was an elk farm just outside of the falls, so we had to stop and take a picture.

I really want to send this picture to my nephew Derek who is on a mission in Washington.  If you know who Derek is then you would understand the joke behind it.

This is a couple of statues out side of the Ice Caves.

They really don't have anything to do with the cave, they were just there.

This is what greeted us as we started to take the tour.  The round trip hike was to be 3/4 of a mile.  It did not seem like that at all.

Zach and I inside the cave.  It was quite the little trek because Zach had to be carried the whole way.  Kelly did most of the carrying, and myself and my dad each took a turn.

There was really quite a bit of lava on the sides of the road.

On the way home Zach entertained himself for a little while by trying to eat his toes.  He thought this was pretty funny as we were telling him not to eat his toes, so he would do it anyway and then he would just giggle about it.

All in all, even though it was a short trip.  We had fun and we are glad that my mom and dad asked us to go with them.

It was great to get away for awhile even if it was short.

On the 4th of July the kids had fun playing in the water at Grandpa and Grandma Ovard's house.

Zach wasn't too sure about the water at first.

He especially didn't want to sit in the little pool at the end of the slide.

But he would swat at the water.

He has such a cute smile.

I found the basketball hoop!

In one of the trips on the four wheeler around grandpa's house Zach found the backetball hoop.  So all he wanted to do after that was walk around to the front of the house and shoot the ball.

4th of July

Here are a couple of pictures from the parade in Henefer on the 4th of July.

Zach did not last very long in the stroller.  He wanted to be out where the other kids were.

Cheer and Dance Camp

My little girl is growing up.  This year while we were doing cheer camp, I was able to drop her off where she needed to be, and then go back home for a  little while.  She didn't need me to be in sight.  I would come back about 10 minutes before the camp was over, and she would have a big smile on her face telling me how much fun she had that day and what she learned.

She remembered things better this year.

Zach just sat back and relaxed watching the girls dance.

Each age group did a cheer and a dance.  Then they got together with all of the age groups and did one big dance.

She had a lot of fun and can not wait until she can dance at the football game this coming September.
